------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The prints offered below are all taken from one of the following four famous natural history works of the 18th or 19th centuries:

George Edwards:  Gleaning of Natural History, London, 1743

Turpin and Prêtre:  Dizionario di Scienze Naturali, Paris, 1839

D'Orbigny, Charles:  Dictionnaire Universel D'Histoire Naturelle, 1849

Keulemans, John Gerrard:  A History of Birds of Europe, 1871-1882

The prints are all in excellent condition and framed in local Fort White native wild cherry.  Instead of paper matting the prints are bordered with real wood matting, which may be padauk, rosewood, walnut or satinwood.  A printed information sheet which tells about the work and artist is included with each item.  These make excellent and original Christmas gifts for those interested in history and natural history.
