COMMENTS:  not the finest made
point but a genuine Paleo.

SUWANNEE-UNION

COMMENTS:  interesting Paleo with both Suwannee and Union
characteristics. Referring to this point, Mr. Claude Van Order had the following to say: "Excellent item for a Paleo study collection due to
the extensive use evidence which shows very heavy wear all along blade edges,
extreme torquing\twisting action which resulted in the dislodging of the
flake near the tip, as well as extensive rubbing, smoothing and polishing
over most of the entire surface"¹.  Fine edgework, carefully made, and thin.
The torque flake is ancient but there appears to be a tiny, more recent
chip off one ear.  This is a Paleo with lots of charisma and character which
was likely in use for many years.

COMMENTS:  super symmetrical Suwannee!.  All hafting area ground, very nice thinned base,  blade is thinned nicely all across, fine, careful edgework, extraordinary glossy colorful patina.  Lies flat and true, great balance.  Very fine example of early Florida man weaponry, becoming harder and harder to acquire.

    COMMENTS: used and used, many resharpenings, base very heavily ground and smoothed. Very thin.  Small but authentic fluted Clovis.
