Following are three incredible articulated leg sets of Parahippus leonensis, Late Early Miocene, Dixie Co., FL, appx. 20 million years old. All are composites but are carefully matched from the same site. On these, and the Archaeohippus blackbergi following, all have restoration on the splint bones. These tiny bones are so extremely thin and fragile, I have never seen an unbroken one, just the proximal and distal portions. None of the side hooves nor the phalanges have any restoration, and where mentioned, only a small amount on the center hoof. These are extremely rare specimens, not likely available elsewhere. All are mounted on attractive hardwood bases with brass rod.

Measures 7 1/4" high without stand. Small amount of restoration on
cannon bone, also splint bones, a tiny bit on center hoof, none on other
hooves or phalanges. Mounted on African padauk base. $600
